Responding to the Home Secretary’s decision not to hold an inquiry into the events during and after the Battle of Orgreave, Yvette Cooper MP said:

“I've long called for an inquiry into Orgreave. People in the coalfield areas have been waiting 32 years for the truth of what happened at Orgreave and many people feel very angry and upset at this decision to hold no inquiry at all.
