Like so many parents, I know that bringing up children is really rewarding but can be challenging too. That’s why it’s important there are Sure Start centres around here to help families give their children the best start in life

I joined local families to pledge my support for the Shout Out for a Sure Start campaign to raise the profile of Children's Centres and make sure they continue to be funded properly. 

With 7 Children's Centres in Pontefract, Castleford and Knottingley, local mums and dads told me how they couldn’t do without the vital support, services and information Sure Start centres provide.
