Normanton Regeneration

YCheadNormanton is a great town with a really strong sense of community and history. But local people have told me they also want to see improvements and investment that will boost the town and support local jobs for the future.

That’s why I was pleased to open the public meeting about Normanton regeneration, which was organised by the Council. Over forty residents shared their views and raised issues such as the future of the Carnegie Library, parking in the town centre and job and business opportunities around the motorway junction.

It’s important local residents come forward with ideas about what the priorities for the town should be so I’d urge people to get involved and help shape Normanton’s future.
