Knottingley Sports Centre Protest

Government cuts are hitting pools and sports centres across the country and Wakefield Council's budget has been cut by £185m.

But these are vital local services, which help people stay fit and healthy, save money for the NHS and social services for years to come. And it isn't fair for Knottingley to lose all its community facilities either. Too often Government investment only goes into the cities instead of supporting our towns.

Please come along to the Thursday campaign if you can. We’ll be meeting at the entrance to the centre at 5:30pm on Thursday 15th December.

And if you can share the event with your friends and family as well then all the better. The more people we have there, the stronger message we can send.
