Knottingley Master Plan

Knottingley deserves its own long term plan for regeneration and investment - based on ideas from across the community.

Lots of people have told me that more improvements are needed in Knottingley. Although Wakefield District Housing is investing to make local homes better, there’s a new Morrisons in the town centre and Knottingley High School is on track to benefit from major investment under the Building Schools for the Future programme, I want to work with local people to make the most of the town.

So I’ve been talking with local councillors about how we improve the area for years to come. As a result of our campaign, Wakefield Council has agreed to draw up a new Master Plan for the town and I believe its vital local people have their say.

Your councillors and I are urging Wakefield Council to hold community meetings with local residents later in the year but before then I’m keen to hear your priorities for the area.

Please do complete my survey and share your opinions on how we can make Knottingley a better place to live.
