EU referendum survey

The EU referendum is fast approaching on June 23rd and lots of people have told me they haven't yet made up their minds yet so I want to know what you think are the biggest questions that need answering?

Personally I think Yorkshire is stronger if the UK stays in the EU. Don't get me wrong. I don't think the EU is perfect and there's lots of things we should work to reform.

I'm hosting an event on June 2nd for people who want to come along but do let me know what you think and what you think the most serious issues are on this quick survey.

What issue will be most important to you in deciding how to vote on whether to stay in the EU?

The Labour Party and its elected representatives may contact you using the information you supply.

Q: What don't you like about the EU?
A: I don’t like free movement of immigrants I don’t like being dictated to by unelected bureaucrats and I don’t like the fact that our grandfathers fought two world wars to stop Germany running Europe and now we have got people like you who are just dying to sign our country away

Q: Are there any issues about the referendum that you'd like more information on?
A: Why are you supporting this mess of an organisation that totally ignores the will of the populous, that is unaccountable to the masses (I don’t count MEPs as they hold no power). How can we have a bigger say in the future of the EU when the real power that is the council run as one member per nation that always look to Germany, never the UK, and our say will only be reduced when more members join only wanting the funds we provide but never our opinion.

Q: What don't you like about the EU?
A: Totally undemocratic, the EU Parliament is just a front to give the façade of democracy but the real decisions are made by the all powerful un-elected council that totally ignore the populous. The waste of money sent to Brussels, not least of which the totally unnecessary relocation to Strasburg every month (just 1 example of many). The fact that the accounts have not been signed off in 19 years proves the fraud on a mass scale that is occurring. The fact that it totally ignores sovereign states such as Greece that voted in an anti austerity government that has been made to kowtow to Brussels and Germany.

Q: What don't you like about the EU?
A: Failing economies in Greece, Spain, Italy and Portugal etc.. These countries are having to lower wages and cut back to compete with the wealthy European countries.
Big companies dominate at the cost of smaller companies.
Non elected commission and we appear to have very little influence on decisions and are usually blocked. We keep talking about a reformed Europe but it never happens. More countries joining dilutes our influence even more. Appears unreformable.
I think we should keep our own democracy and self rule that we have fought so hard for. Make our own laws, at present Brussels makes 60% of our laws.
EU failed to help Syrian refugees. Killing migrants by neglect. The EU should have helped immediately taking the refugees and placing them in each EU country.
The EU reduced the size of vacuum motors and now they want to ban powerful kettles and toasters!
NATO keeps the peace. EU I believe has a poor track record.
European common market for trade was ok but it has now turned into something else.
Living wage going up to £9 will attract even more EU immigration.
UK fishing fleet should be UK governed.
