EU referendum survey

The EU referendum is fast approaching on June 23rd and lots of people have told me they haven't yet made up their minds yet so I want to know what you think are the biggest questions that need answering?

Personally I think Yorkshire is stronger if the UK stays in the EU. Don't get me wrong. I don't think the EU is perfect and there's lots of things we should work to reform.

I'm hosting an event on June 2nd for people who want to come along but do let me know what you think and what you think the most serious issues are on this quick survey.

What issue will be most important to you in deciding how to vote on whether to stay in the EU?

The Labour Party and its elected representatives may contact you using the information you supply.

Q: What don't you like about the EU?
A: France and Germany appear to have the controlling interest. Too many member states residents feel that if they come to the uk they will receive benefit payments, a place to live and use of the NHS as a given. The UK is seen as the place to reside. There are too many members of the EU parliament and those that represent us are largley unknown to the general public.

Q: What is the best thing about being part of the EU?
A: Being part of the EU enables Britain to have influence on the decisions made in Brussels. I believe the common interest in being part of the EU has helped in keeping peace in Europe. Our biggest export market is Europe. Britain gets a large proportion of its EU contributions back in subsidies to food production, transport infrastructure etc.

Q: What don't you like about the EU?
A: I think, as with lots of entities it’s corrupt. Sick if Britain mopping up immigrants unnecessarily, although agree this will never stop whether we are in our out, been going on for decades and administered correctly is good however it’s a sham at the moment.
