We have a really strong sense of community sprit around here. Local people take part in great experiences thanks to our fantastic community groups. 

I recently presented Coalfields Regeneration Trust grants to some local groups. In projects ranging from sports and drama to training opportunities, the money will be used to fund activities that otherwise would have been impossible.

It was great to meet Townsville Cricket Club, Carleton Glen Tenants and Residents Association and Kristina Gelder Theatre School who have all benefited from this extra investment.
